Polar Vortex Lake
On January 31st, 2019 I arrived to a lake plunging into temperatures during a Polar Vortex well below freezing with wind chills hitting below -50 by the time this series of storms were done. With surface temperatures hovering between -10 and -20 degrees Fahrenheit my time at the lake was precious. Steam filled the air swirling around me as the lake came into the first light of day.

These times at the lake are special, when unique weather conditions come together to reveal another way of seeing this landscape I return to each day. This is January 31st, 2019, from the Lake Series, a photograph available as a limited edition print.
