This is Lincoln Schatz’s Heat of Its Being and Its Will to Be (1), a limited edition print of a tree canopy created by hand in studio. In this edition, the skyward views of tree canopies create a web of interlinking trunks and branches. Creating an intricate and imagined tree from dozens of individual photographs that allow for an impossible view of a tree to emerge.
