Lake Michigan is Roaring

Lake Michigan is roaring today, full throated and beating itself against the shore. It was exhilarating to stand in front of it witnessing the power the lake can possess. People are often lulled into a false sense of safety because it is a lake and not the ocean. But on days like this, this body of water reminds you of the strength it has. For now the water continues to crash on and against the land, but as temperatures drop the next few days we should see the arrival of a landscape frozen in place. Ice covering every surface following this series of storms.
