December Lake Michigan

The lake is gently warming in the morning light on December 15th, 2023 in a photograph from the Lake Series, featuring Lake Michigan in an ongoing project that began in September of 2015. Each day, month and year has shown me something new in this landscape. The time spent with the lake has allowed for me to know my subject in ways I could not have imagined when I began this series. It is the endlessly changing nature of the lake that compels me to continue to photograph it and I look forward to seeing what the lake reveals next.
