Lake Michigan Panoramas: February 2019, is a new selection of panorama photographs created by Lincoln Schatz in the spring of 2021. Taken over the course of one month, these photographs study the landscape of Lake Michigan in detail. Watching and observing the lake transform endlessly over twenty-eight days.

This particular year, 2019, had an incredible breadth of qualities and while working in the archive for the Lake Series, Schatz began putting together this collection.

Here, in these photos, you can see the great austere beauty of winter as well as the striking first glimpses of spring color. From temperatures that plunged well below zero accompanied by heavy snow storms, to days that would make you think spring had fully arrived. This month showed exactly how dynamic a Lake Michigan panorama can be.
