Edge of Cornfields

Edge of Cornfields

It’s early in summer as I stand at the edge of cornfields in Nebraska. This is, The Great Plains (4), a photograph taken late in the day. The air is heavy with humidity. This view will only last for a month or so. The corn will grow rapidly in the summer heat and tower well above my head by the time it reaches maturity.
