dirty white shipping containers on the beach next to Lake Michigan in Chicago on a foggy and almost opaque day
Shipping Containers on the Beach

Shipping containers on the beach sit beside the lake, shrouded in fog on a still cold spring day. As winter begins to relax its icy grip on Chicago, the lakefront begins to change along with the seasons. Trucks, heavy equipment, machinery and construction materials begin to appear along the path. Preparing to build temporary summer structures for the seasonal businesses that service visitors to the lake. This photograph is part of The Shore, an ongoing limited edition series that studies the relationship between the lake and human beings.
