The leaves are beginning to appear on these three trees, on this cold and gray day along Lake Michigan on April 10th, 2021. The trunk of the tree in the foreground bends towards the earth. Leaning further and further over as time passes. While new growth tries to climb higher into the sky, adapting to best survive.
