This photograph, Submerged rocks, Lake Michigan (3), from the Transformations series, is another in a small set of prints that focus their attention on the ways in which water, lake rocks and light interact to create a fascinating study in opacity and layering. It is always hard to distinguish in these photographs where one material begins and another ends and it’s that quality I keep searching for with these particular works.
