Navigation Beacons on the Lake

Navigation beacons stand at intervals along the shoreline of Lake Michigan. Appearing at points along the entire length of the city of Chicago. Often found on the scorpion tails and walls that extend out into the lake water. Small concrete and steel interventions that create pockets of calm water protected from the larger lake conditions.
