Ice Covered Lake Michigan Photo
It’s hard to imagine, but soon the lake will be covered in ice and winter will have arrived again to Lake Michigan. I find the ice to be remarkable. The way it forms and breaks apart. Only to reform again and again. The way the ice can change based on the temperature, winds, and other atmospheric conditions. How it can be perfectly smooth one day and jagged and treacherous the next. The lake, even frozen over, is always in flux and it’s the winter months that really drive home how much the lake can change in a short period of time.
