Here, in this photograph White River National Forest, Colorado (9) a forest tree has fallen and become caught on other branches, standing now at a diagonal to the forest floor.  “The White River National Forest is an interdependent, highly complex ecosystem that is always changing. From the plants that come and go with each passing season, to the seemingly immutable eighty million year old mountains that stand in witness to this place.
