Cold Lake Morning

Ice piles next to my feet as I stand on the shore this cold lake morning. These shards of ice are as transparent as glass. Broken and shattered as the lake shifted and moved just after they’d formed. It’s remarkable how many different ways ice can freeze on the lake. From these transparent sheets to the massive boulders that are tossed to shore during storms. And everything you can imagine in between those two extremes.
