Belmont Harbor Lake Walls
Photographing the last remnants of ice on the Belmont Harbor lake walls. I’ve been really taken this past winter with studying how the ice forms and thaws on the shores of Lake Michigan over the course of the season. The transformations that occur over days, weeks and months reveal a wealth of different behaviors and patterns as the temperatures and weather change repeatedly.
See all of the photographs from the last five years of the Lake Series here or follow along as I explore this and other projects on my instagram account.
