Commissioned by collectors and One Arts Plaza developers Lucy and Henry Billingsley, it will be one of the largest interactive video works ever permanently installed in a public space. “From Here” will become a nerve center in the historic revitalization of downtown Dallas, presenting an entirely new approach to public art in which the public itself drives the generative growth of the artwork. In the same way that human memories constantly evolve, “From Here” accrues video images of interactions and recombines them into new meanings onscreen.
